What are the best Easter gifts for babies?
Easter is not too far away, so that makes this the best time to start shopping for Easter gifts for the babies in your life. If you’re looking for something for your own baby, a baby in the family, or a friend’s baby, I’ve got you covered on all things Easter.
I had to think back to all the fun Easter gifts that my son received for his first Easter, but fortunately I took pictures, so I can confidently give you all my favorite picks for Easter gifts for babies.
I suggest you take plenty of pictures yourself. Not only on Easter morning but all the fun events leading up to Easter. Are you coloring eggs, visiting the Easter bunny, or going on an egg hunt? Make all the memories, take a lot of pictures, and have a ton of fun. Baby firsts are things to be treasured.

How do you celebrate baby’s first Easter?
How you celebrate any first holiday, depends on the age of your baby and what he is able to do. I recommend doing all the things you remember doing on Easter when you were a kid and adding some new traditions for your family as well:
- Color Easter eggs. Your baby probably won’t be fishing the eggs out of the dye cups this year, but you can sit him in a highchair or on your lap while the fun is happening.
- Attend an Easter egg hunt. If your baby is too little to color eggs, he’s definitely too little to hunt those eggs. Which is why I’m suggesting you find an organized egg hunt in your area. Take your baby and get some pictures with a giant Easter basket, some eggs, and some beautiful spring weather.
- Get an Easter outfit. Easter is the holiday I remember everyone wore their best outfits. As a child of the 80’s, there’s not an Easter picture where I’m not wearing a bonnet. It’s always fun to get dressed up and be fancy, especially if you’ve spent much of baby’s first year in the house.
- Visit the Easter bunny. What a better picture for your little one’s first Easter than him sitting on the Easter bunny’s lap in his best outfit.
- Go to church. If you’re a regular churchgoer, this is part of your normal routine. But for those of you who haven’t been or are looking to get back into it, Easter is the perfect day. Yes, it’s one of the big days, but that also means there will be so many people, you can sneak in without really being noticed and kind of feel it out.
- Have a family dinner. With a baby, you may not be the one hosting Easter dinner, but make some time to visit family and share your baby’s first Easter with those you love most.
- Give an Easter gift. Candy is usually the go-to for those annual Easter baskets, but it’s not the most appropriate Easter gift for babies (or toddlers and even some school-age children). Don’t worry though, that’s where I have you covered.

What do you give a baby for Easter?
Themed Easter Gifts for Babies
Personalized Easter Basket
Personalized Easter baskets make dishing out Easter gifts so much easier, especially when you have multiple kids. Hopefully, there’s no sibling squabble over Easter gifts, as long as you make the baskets even. And for your baby’s first Easter, this personalized Easter basket is just adorable. It comes it eight different options for boys and girls.
First Easter Basket
This plush My First Easter Basket was an absolute hit with my son. The animals are small enough for little hands to grasp, and he’s still enjoying them as a toddler.
Stuffed Toy
Being born in the spring, my son received lots of stuffed bunnies as baby shower gifts. This Melissa and Doug stuffed bunny is one he enjoys and is stylish enough to use as part of your nursery decor.
Easter Book
Babies Love Easter is the perfect book to introduce your little one to this holiday. Check out our list of even more Easter books your baby will enjoy year after year.
Clothing Easter Gifts for Babies
Easter Outfit
This cute boy’s romper or this adorable girl’s outfit are perfect Easter gifts for babies and will make your little one the star of the family festivities.
Pajamas
These cozy pajamas are an adorable Easter gift for babies. With multiple Easter styles to choose from, I’m sure you can find the perfect pajamas for your little one.
Playful Easter Gifts for Babies
Sensory Rattles
Another gift my son received for his first Easter were these sensory rattles. They are small enough for little hands, and the bright colors and different sounds and textures are sure to keep your baby entertained for months of play.
Blocks
I love this set of building blocks as an Easter gift for babies. Again, they are something good for little hands to grasp. They make great teethers, are fun at bath time, are useful teaching toys, have sensory elements, work your little one’s fine motor skills, and are unlikely to break anything in your home (a big win when a toddler starts throwing things).
Sensory Balls
These sensory balls are a great way to stimulate your baby through touch and sight. Each ball has a different texture and are great at developing motor skills. You could even use them to engage your baby during tummy time.
Bath Toys
These bath boats are a great addition to baby’s bath time. Although they might be a little large as Easter gifts for babies, especially if you have a younger baby, they are one of my favorite bath toys. They easily wipe off and dry completely, so no mold can form, and you don’t have to worry what your baby is putting in his mouth.
Lovey
Soft, cuddly and small enough for your little one to enjoy, this lovey makes a cute addition to your baby’s Easter basket.
Mealtime Easter Gifts for Babies
Purees
If your baby is close to starting solid foods or is already eating solids, giving this puree pack as an Easter gift for babies is a good way to fill out their Easter basket. If you’re just starting on solids, try bananas first. We started with peaches and my son was not a fan of the strong flavor.
Snacks
Another great Easter gift, if your baby is a little older, is snacks. Puffs have always been a huge hit in our home, even now that my son is a toddler. He loves using his snack catcher, even when we’re at home. He also enjoys Yogurt Melts and Lil’ Crunchies. Just remember to check the age range on the snacks and always supervise your kiddo during snack time.
Bibs
While you’re gearing up for more solid meals, you’re going to want to keep those baby clothes clean. This eight-pack of bibs makes a colorful addition to your baby’s Easter basket, while being practical as well.
EZPZ Tiny Cup
The EZPZ tiny cup is the perfect size for your baby’s first Easter basket. The size of the cup makes practicing drinking much easier, as it doesn’t hold a lot of liquid. Less chance for baby to choke and less mess for mom.
Practical Easter Gifts for Babies
Teethers
Babies as young as three months can start cutting teeth, so your time is coming. Small, flat teethers are easier for smaller babies to hold themselves. These teether keys are one of the favorites in our house, and your little one may enjoy the different textures. But this wouldn’t be a list of Easter gifts for babies without including this super cute carrot teether, with handles easy for baby to grasp.
Pacifier
So, I know pacifiers can be a hot-button issue, especially if you’re breastfeeding. But if you are a fan of the pacifier or looking to try one out, these glow-in-the-dark pacifiers make it easy to find in a dark room in the middle of the night. The texture makes them feel most like mom and the design makes it ideal for baby’s growing mouth.
Portable Sound Machine
This portable sound machine has been a lifesaver for us since day one in the hospital. Even if you already have a sound machine in baby’s room, this portable one makes travelling with baby so much easier. Use it at bedtime or hook it onto your stroller for restful sleep anywhere.

Diapers and Wipes
I’ll always include diapers and wipes on a list of Easter gifts for babies, just in case there are any relatives out there looking for the perfect gift. Babies go through diapers and wipes like CRAZY, and mom and dad will always be grateful for the extra help.
Conclusion
There you have it: everything you need to pack the perfect Easter basket for your little one’s first Easter. Whether it’s Easter themed, clothing, toys, food or something practical, you’re going to love watching your baby be so excited over this special holiday.
This first Easter is the best time to start new traditions or bring back some of the favorites from when you were a kid. So, try new things, take pictures, make memories, and enjoy every minute of it!
